Parish Priest’s Welcome
We have a wonderful multicultural Catholic Parish with a true spirit of community, compassion, and care for each other. We are fortunate to have many ethnic and pastoral groups in the Parish who attempt to fulfill different ministries and services on the sacred land of the Arrernte peoples of Central Australia.
I welcome you to OLSH Parish and invite you all to join us and become active and supportive partners to build up God’s Kingdom of love, justice and harmony. You too can become part of championing Jesus Christ’s new world order – the Reign of God.
I share the hopes of all my religious and lay predecessors since 1929 that we continue the work of the Lord in this part of the world, and extend the vision of the new kingdom that Jesus left us in the years to come. We are members of one body of Christ, baptized in the same apostolic faith and united in the same loving name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I welcome you and I look forward to serving your spiritual and personal development. May the darkness of sin and the night of unbelief vanish before the light of the Word and the Spirit of Grace, and may the sacred heart of Jesus live in the hearts of all peoples.
